Dunadry Gardens & River Walk
Explore the Beauty of Nature
It is not often that you find a venue that wraps around the Gardens. Almost every area and bedroom in the hotel offers guests direct access or unrivalled views of the beautiful internal gardens at Dunadry Hotel.
The Gardens and changing seasons inspire the workings of the hotel, to seasonal menus using fresh local produce, seasonal drinks to reflect the changing colours of nature and even the decor within the hotel which brings the outside in – everything at Dunadry Hotel And Gardens is inspired by the nature around it.
The Central Garden
Called the Central Garden is literally is in the middle of Dunadry Hotel Estate. This Garden offers an expansive lawn with beautiful bedding plants. The perfect spot for some al fresco lunch or a few Summer time drinks on the patio. Barbeques, Picnics and Events have all taken place on the lawns. If the weather proves incremental, take a seat in the Garden Lounge and enjoy the view of playful squirrels or the resident peacocks wandering through the Grounds.
Guests can enjoy direct access from the Garden Lounge and if staying in the Garden Suites can step out their french doors or request an Al Fresco Breakfast outside their room. The 1st floor Suites boost unrivalled views over the Central Garden from the Juliette balcony and hear the relaxing trickle of the waterfall in the background.
Tree of Peace and Unity: Standing proudly in the middle of the central garden is the Tree of Peace and Unity – two limes trees which have grown together for centuries and are now inseparable. The tree became famous as the iconic picture with Prime Minister Tony Blair, Sir John Hume and Lord David Trimble representing the two sides coming together in unity at the signing of the Good Friday Agreement which ended the Troubles of NI. The original picture and letter from the Prime Minister can be found hanging in the Garden Lounge. This iconic tree has been and remains the first signs of change in the Gardens
