Frequently Asked Questions

Covid-19

HEALTH & SAFETY

Dunadry Hotel And Gardens are delighted to be accredited with the ‘Good to Go’ Tourism NI mark, showing our commitment to providing our team and customers with a safe space.

As we continue the best efforts in the fight against Covid 19 below are some of the most commonly asked questions about your visit with us:

Are there any changes to check in/check out?

Our check-in/check out time remains the same however if requested we can accommodate a phone check in where the team will explain the services and collect all relevant guest information prior to arrival on the day so you just have to collect your key when you arrive.

We ask all guests to be aware of their personal space and adhere to the physical distancing in place in the lobby whilst checking in and checking out

Sanitising stations are available at the main entrance and on the reception desk as well as various locations throughout the hotel.

Reception Desk counters will all have a sneeze guard screen in the location where Guests are checking in.

Each guest will receive a Welcome Letter, which will contain key safety information and an outline of the facilities available, including what Covid-19 protocols are in place.

Elevator signage will advise that only one party from the same household may use the elevator at any one time.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Appropriate PPE will be worn by relevant employees and in adherence to any government or local regulations and guidance. We encourage Guests to wear a mask when in public areas inside the hotel but this can be removed when seated at your table or when making use of our gardens.

Hand sanitiser dispensers will also be placed at key guest and employee entrances and contact areas throughout the hotel and conduct temperature checks for all staff on arrival to the hotel.

Dedicated employees will sanitize all public areas and staff changing rooms on a regular basis.

Are there any changes to my room?

Certain items will be removed from your room such as notepad and pens, guest directories and magazines, etc.

Frequently touched areas will be thoroughly disinfected regularly during your stay. (i.e. telephones, remote controls, safes, switches, handles, taps etc)

Extra pillows and blankets stored in guest room wardrobes will be removed, but available on request

Tea and coffee making facilities will be available in the room

Rooms will continue to be cleaned daily unless otherwise advised by the Guest on check in or during their stay.

What additional cleaning protocols in place?

Industry-leading cleaning and sanitising protocols are used to clean guest facilities, with particular attention paid to high-touch items including television remote controls, toilet seats and handles, door and furniture handles, taps, nightstands, telephones, in-room control panels, light switches, temperature control panels, alarm clocks, luggage racks and flooring.

All staff have had up to date HACCP training by Ecolab in the use of appropriate cleaning chemicals against coronavirus.

Will there still be a buffet breakfast?

Buffet breakfasts will not be available until restrictions are lifted and it is safe to resume this service, however breakfast will be served as normal in the MillRace restaurant.

Breakfast orders will be taken at the table and served to you.  Orders will be taken for Juice, Tea/ Coffee, Breads etc.

Tables in restaurants and bars will be arranged to ensure appropriate distancing at all times.

Please note that guests are required to book breakfast time with Reception on check-in, this will allow us to prepare in advance for service.

Will the Restaurant and Lounge be open for dining and drinks?

Yes, Millrace Restaurant, the Garden Lounge and Copper Bar will be open to welcome guests.

There are appropriate changes made to seating which will accommodate social distancing. Menus will incorporate an a la carte offering to include seasonal specials and signature dishes will be served as normal.

It is advised Guests pre-book lunch and dinner prior to arrival to allow our Team to make adequate preparations.

Will the Leisure Club and Gym be open?

Swimming Pool & Gym Facility is Open:

  • Monday to Friday we will operate time slots for our guests 6.30 am to 8.00 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday we will operate time slots for our guests 8.30 am to 7.00 pm

Guests will be allocated 30minute or 60 minute swim slots and gym slots.  These time slots must be pre-booked prior to arrival at the Leisure Club.

This pre-booking procedure will allow us to ensure the safety of our Guests and allow us time to correctly sanitise all of the areas.

In line with Government guidelines and health and safety restrictions, we will be adhering strictly to these time slots and would also like to draw our guests’ attention to the maximum capacity of 5 Guests in any one slot in the pool and 8 Guests in the gym.

Guests can use one facility – either pool or gym- in any booked time slot.

Slots are allocated on a first come, first served basis and therefore early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Is Afternoon Tea available?

Our exclusive Afternoon Tea is available to book and we will designate a relevant area to ensure adequate social distancing. It is imperative that Afternoon Tea is booked prior to arrival to ensure adequate preparations are made.

Ive booked to stay but I am no longer able to attend due to illness – what do I do?

Due to the ongoing pandemic we are being fully flexible with cancellations or changes to dates of stay. If booked directly with us there will be no charge for your night stay  if you need to cancel or postpone prior to 12 noon day of arrival.

If you have not cancelled your booking and fail to show up the first night will be charged.
